Health care associations ramping up hiring for lobbyists

In anticipation of the major health care reform promised by the White House, associations and nonprofits with a stake in the changes have been on a hiring binge to build their advocacy teams during the last six months. One in three job announcements from health care-related associations in the first half of 2009 was a government relations position, the highest recorded since CEO Update started tracking recruiting statistics in 1997.
